Hello moontrippers. Hows it hanging? To the left? To the right?

You know how sometimes you just dont wanna leave the cosy comforts of , er... just say your lazychair? And you've got something reallllll good playing on your VLC Player. Lets just say , MIB Part 3 . NOW , what will be the key factor in you moving your fat ass?  Perhaps an earthquake , and nothing else.

Thats why when i found out foodpanda is around and online , i decided to give it a try. Gone are the days of only getting a few choices of food delivered to you. Foodpanda has an array of restaurants that they deliver for.

For me , its way cooler that Room Service Malaysia based on a few reasons. -

1) Much more easy and user- friendly interface on their landing page on their website

2) Great choices (although they are quite new , they have a good number of reataurants under them , where it took Room Service years to accumulate the same number of restaurants)

3) The cute and cuddly panda really does the trick !

So i decided to order. from my crib @ Bangsar. I choose Puzzini's Swedish Pizza as the choice restaurant and the 'Karl Gustav' pizza as my choice of food.

The order process is easy -
1) Order the dish
2) Input your account details
3) Verification of the order (sms code)
4) Order delivered (cod)



In less than 1 hour , this was what came thru the door . A really tasty , really swedish dish called "Karl Gustav pizza" . The moments that followed was true indulgence into the best of the best. Mmmnnnnn.....not having to leave the house , and now having one of the best pizzas ive ever tasted is the life. The Life.

All in all , foodpanda 's service is at the moment good and getting better! I cant wait to try out other restaurants that's under them. ( some areas are not covered at the moment , but im sure foodpanda is on it to deliver near you soon ! )

Malaysia - Our beloved nation that is known for many great reasons all around the world. A country that is truly 'Asia' in its coming of age. And the greatest thing about Malaysia? Its food !!! Here , there is , and always will be delicious dishes to enjoy from a multicultural platform. On of which is the nasi lemak or glutton rice - a highly common traditional rice dish of the malay folk thats a part of any malaysian's daily life. From the standard RM1.20 road side packets to the RM10.00 city restaurants dishes ,the nasi Lemak is enjoyed by all , all the time.

Only in Malaysia you would start your day with a rice dish thats with spicy sambal for breakfast!!!

Ask any Malaysian abroad - What do you miss most at home and they will answer - Nasi Lemak lah!

The catch

Preparing a really tasty nasi lemak dish is no walk in the park . One must know the importance of all key parts to a great tasting nasi lemak dish. The sambal is the most important part of this dish. No , i stand corrected , its the heart of the dish. It has to be exquisite to be deemed worth eating or else , your preparation will be quickly forgotten.

Here's a review on the nasi lemak ayam rendang dish thats from Nasi Lemak Express . Delivered to you , hot and fresh. by this new online food delivery service called Food Panda. Cute and pretty cool setup with nice restaurants to start off with... :)

The 'package' arrives.

And on time. Nasi Lemak Express 's Nasi Lemak Ayam Rendang priced at RM7.80 . Lunch comes knocking.

The first thing that i found appealing was the simple packaging that it came in. The foil container retained the heat and it was divine to inhale the aroma of the rendang and the nasi upon opening the 'package' . The second winning point is the dish's preparation that was clean and proper. Portions was porportionate which included - Adequate rice , anchovies and nuts , (an exquisite tasting dried prawn sambal originating only from the east coast of malaysia) , cucumbers , and a piece of chicken rendang with rendang sauce. All packed neatly in the package. It is easy eating , as how eating should be.
Now , here comes the magic - It is exceptionally tasty !!! You can tell that the chicken rendang was done well as it was soft and very tender. The sambal is distinctly good - sweet and spicy , the egg - fresh and the anchovies crispy.  All in , the overall taste was above par and very satisfactory. Its good to know that Nasi Lemak Express maintains its food quality in its dishes even in high volume orders ( we ordered 10 packets at RM78.00 - the minimum online order amount).

Lesson to be learnt -  It is deliciously refreshing to have good tasting nasi lemak sent to your doorstep. Faith restored.
